Addiction LXXIX

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Totally worth it. I was around 235 to 245 when I first started now I am at 170. I feel so much better on and off the bike.

Its fine. If the spokes were to lose tension it wouldn't be true.

I'm eating my sauerkraut. It's OK, but has a bit of a crunch. Is it supposed to be that way? Or should it have fermented longer? It sat for five or so days.

I just spent 3 days putting a new sound system in the Firebird. Completely removed the entire interior to do so. Man that sucked. But it sounds pretty good.

Hope everyone is doing well. I've been busier than a one legged man at an ass kicking convention. Got Dad doing better with his meds. Now its moms turn. She had her shoulder replaced and the table collapsed as they were getting ready to put her under.. she pinched a nerve in her back and lost all feeling in her left leg from mid calve down. Can't move her foot or toes. Needs a walker. It is improving but slowly..

I'd love to see what 170 is like this year, but as Velo Vol is wont to point out, autumn is coming, so I'm going to aim for a 80kg (176 and change). Well, actually I'm not aiming at anything - I've stopped the strict tracking of calories since I've been averaging 4,000 cal burned per day for the last couple months, but maybe I should start back up just to be sure...

Double-edged safety razors are actually really good for people that have ingrowns and whatnot. I never really had that problem, but my skin is better than ever since switching over from multi-blade disposables.

Nice bike, but those SRAM shifters are beyond hideous.

I’ve been buzzing it off for years. I don’t think I could use a safety razor without a mirror and I don’t always have one.

Oh, I definitely need a mirror, two when I'm shaving my head. I buzzed for years, but enjoy the Mr Clean look/feel at least twice per week.

Just when you start to feel you're getting in shape, winter hits and it all goes to poop. Every year.

Kind of cabbagey. It stinks a bit. I made it with a carrot and garlic. I'm not sure how it supposed to taste. Only reference is versus commercial. I understand the flavour changes the longer it sits.

The ONLY way I can lose weight is to track calories. I've tried just riding and I ended up a fitter 225.

We're actually heading into the hottest part of the year here. There are a couple months of nice riding left. Mind you, that can end suddenly when the rains hit, and as soon as the rains hit, it's Holiday Food Season.

I figured. If I ever hit the jackpot, I would consider a custom geometry crabon fiber frame. Maybe a Calfee Dragonfly.

I'm totally ready for autumn now. Not doing pumpkin spice though, It's all about that maple creme!
