Me too and I'm surprised. I remember talking to Ralph about lugs; he said he thought they were dinosaurs and that fillet brazing was prettier and lighter.

I made about 75 - 80 frame sets of these back in the day. I still have my personal frame. I may even have a rim someplace.

Any leads or info would be tremendously appreciated!!

If he is still alive he's about 82 years old now. I would sure enjoy talking to him if he is. Since I started this thread, someone emailed me an article and interview with Mr. Lewis from 1989 from Bicycle Guide Magazine. At that time the frame alone sold for $800 dollars! Any more input is still welcome by me, I'm still at a loss as to how to proceed with the yellow project. Finding all the Mavic parts is a challenge alone. According to the article, the front chainring should be a 54/63 tooth! I doubt I'll ever find that!
Hi I am one of the people Ralph used to make his bikes. I made about 80 framesets for Ralph. I still have my personal Hamilton. I also may have some big rings 56 to 60 t . I ran a 54 - 11 & worked fine.I am thinking of selling mine.

Hi.

It was great to find this link and forum about the Hamilton bike.

I just bought one and have no idea about year and any other information about this bike on Google. The owner told me that he bought the last frame issued and built it sometime in 1980s. The frame is white/purple.

I would like to know more about this bike and need suggestion about on to how to bring it back on road.

Thank you.

CycleScience 24" wheel with Sattui

My uncle built a 24" wheeled bike for pro triathlete Sarah Springman in the late 80's. She had some Sattui wheels for it as well as conventional wheels. It's all in my spare bedroom at the moment :-D I've restored it and ridden it, but not the Sattui wheels yet (the old tubulars on them will need replacing, and tbh I might be a bit too heavy for them).

Welcome to Bike Forums.

You'll need 10 posts, but after 10 you can post a picture of the bike.
Going to need a picture, or it never happened. 8-)
