Lighthouse 2015
Hi All,
Should be nice weather next Saturday for SLOBC Lighthouse Century.
Fifth round for me, first 1978, ~35 riders, eight bucks, one stop - hit it both directions - clam chowder inna french bread bowl.
The route's changed some; it's still great! There's tickets available...
I'll leave the house ~5:30 a.m. to hit the start at 6, likely won't see another rider until the century route intersects the shorter route at Old Creek Road.
I'll be wearing my new orange helmet and old Chico Corsa jersey; say "Hey Tom!"
P.S. Hope you are healin' up Mr Curtis!

Hi All,
Looks like eben better weather for this year's event, ~80F high temp, ~60F at sunrise.
However, there may be offshore breeze instead of the usual NW wind that blows us home in the afternoon.
Whal, I'll be wearing bright orange helmet and SLOBC Wildflower jersey (2015), on #2 road bike, 2014 Wilier GTR (yes, R).
Say "Hey Tom"
I'll be riding to the start from home, on the course by 6 a.m.
If I know you, or one of the three or four NorCals I've met will vouch for you, give me a shout if you need a place t'crash.

Another year, 'nother Lighthouse!
The route's been changed again, less East on 46, more north on 1.
Looks like mild weather for tomorrow.
I'll be wearing th' same bright orange helmet (many stickers) an' 2015 SLOBC Wildflower jersey, same #2 road bike, 2014 Wilier GTR (yep, Arr), say "Hey Tom!"
Same starting from home, on the course whenever I get there - forecast calls for light wind, so maybe sleep in a bit this year (my strategy has been start early or late - try to avoid the crowd).
Same place t'crash offer.
All same? ...lol, seems so, however, ebery day is a new challenge/adventure/blessing/??, given we choose to look't.
Forty years since my first Lighthouse? Whaaat? ...the reg was eight bucks then, about 30-40 riders showed up, one rest stop t'hit on the way up and back; I wasn't ready, lol, got back to town ~6 p.m.
Be safe! Visibility, communication, respect.

Another year, another Lighthouse.
Same orange helmet.
We're having plumbing and etc., so no crashing offer this year.
