I've put many years of riding on the old Colnago Super. Recently I've increased my riding and my bicycle "fleet", but I was a pretty much one bike rider from about 1982 to 2015.

The old Colnago still gets out from time to time when the weather is good.

IIRC, Katrina hit in 2005. I was casually bike commuting then, and decided I'd try doing it every day so I didn't have to pay for the gas. Still on the same bicycle, although the frame has been replaced since then, as has the seatpost, both wheels, the saddle, and the derailers. But it's still the same fork and brakes, so does that count as 13 years old or 2?

I've been a fair weather commuter on a Hardrock since 2007. It's still my only bike too.

Ha, not to get all existential, but I always considered the frame to be the bike's soul. It's cool to carry over some parts though, as a remnant/reminder of the original.

Four years with my Bianchi, but it was converted from a hybrid to an 2x8-sp cx-like bike, then the current 3x9 config. It's my grocery/gear hauler,and sometime winter beater.

Three years with my Giant Rapid. Again, converted from hybrid to a 2x10 road bike. It's my non-winter commuter.

One and a half years with my Norco Threshold. Disc brakes and studded tires make it ideal for winter commuting.

Not all that long with any of these, but I have no plans to upgrade any of them, so hopefully many years of service ahead.

Spoilsport. That's only 11 years on that bike then, and the other is only 9 years old. That's practically brand new!

I have a much higher turnover in my commute bikes than my other bikes.
My main road bike has been in regular service for 14 years - my winter road bike for 25 years.
But I've had four commute bikes in the last 10 years.
- Rockhopper Comp - sold
- Centurian Ironman FG conversion - broke
- Masi Commuter FG - stolen
- Trek District FG - still going strong, rode it today.

I guess with mine the frame, forks, front brake and front derailleur were on it when I bought it,everything else is new.

17 years, year-round on my Kettler Silverstar. That's about 50,000 miles. Bottle dynamo replaced with hub dynamo, carbon steel fenders now stainless steel.

Change to studded tires for winter.

Let's see, not quite 10 years ago I got an 89 Peugeot Versailles specifically for commuting. Since then, I've changed the drivetrain, the brakeset, the derailleurs, shifters, saddle, stem, wheelset, the fork and frame... but it's still the same bike!

I rode a 1993 Specialized Rockhopper bought that year as my only bicycle, including for commuting, until a hit-and-run driver ran into me on my commute with his truck in November of 2014. So that's 21.33... years.

I have a '94 Rockhopper now, but I am only able to ride once or twice a week instead of 3-5/wk like I used to do.

I guess I suffer too badly from upgrade-itis, since my answer to the question is no. Maybe that will change, now that my commuter bike is a 1974 Raleigh International. I think I've been riding it for three years.

...so far with a 2012 fuji traverse and trek 520. I do about 60 miles a week commuting, 14 miles a day.

By the way, I picked up a bike from a neighbor who said it had been left in his basement by a tenant who said the neighbor could keep it. It looked rough. As I was working on it in my basement, getting it ready for sale, the original owner saw it and said it was his former bike. He could tell from the wear signs. He said he had commuted on it at least 60,000 miles. I never heard of anything like that, and I totally believed him. The bike was worn in every way, but it still rode OK. So I'd like to hear of someone putting more than 60,000 miles on a bike.
