Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I just spoke with my local hospital ID specialist and medical leadership. They are sympathetic but not going to do anything to help with testing our patients. And the local health dept is not very helpful either. Sad!
Yeah, the lack of testing makes the epidemiology a joke. All respiratory infections will be presumptive COVID-19 for the duration.

For those that aren't Conti devotees, Merlin has a big Schwalbe tire sale going on. Their best tire, the Pro One w/Addix, is going to $25 each in tubed, $30 each in tubeless - very good prices. Free shipping over $67.

I made a Stevie Nicks allusion on my Strava posting today. Not sure anyone got it.

How about this conversion kit:

https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Ne...B0P9YZ14P&th=1

After reading this review I don't think I will ever be able to look at a PB&J sandwich the same way:

"Speaking as a hirsute gentleman, the Luxe Bidet Neo 120 has soured me on pooping in bidet-less toilets forever. It's shown me the difference between rubbing peanut butter out of shag carpeting with a paper towel, and that sparkling clean feeling you get right when you step out of the shower.

"The unit took me all of about 10 minutes to install on my existing toilet with only a wrench. The easy-to-control flow valve allows you to provide just the right amount of water pressure for a full range of cleaning, from "gentle trickling stream" to "full-on 'Silkwood' decontamination", ensuring the end of your bowel movement leaves you feeling cleaner and more refreshed than using just toilet paper alone. Even flush-able wet wipes pale in comparison."

He's not exactly wrong. Two of the things that I don't like about traveling are wiping and the change in diet screwing up my system, so I've taken to bringing a bidet along on extended trips to VA (I have a hose/sprayer type).

It’s probably TMI but I poop in the morning and wash up with soap and water in the shower immediately after. No TP necessary.

We have a tube of Lysol disinfecting wipes here in my Philly office. Available to the highest bidder, with reserve of course.

Who wants to open?

One of the reasons I near-hate traveling. Gotta get me a travel bidet.

On a Covid-19 related note, a person in the building where my wife’s workplace is confirmed positive. (S)He works for a company that provides legal counsel to the firm my wife’s working for, and she’s been in that legal firm’s conference room less than two weeks ago.

I told her she’s sleeping in the basement tonight. Right now I have my pillow, blanket and about to get comfy downstairs.

I am slowly making progress on changing out cables/housing on the Habanero. The shifter has TWO possible channels to run the cable, straight or diagonal. The wrench who helped me build this 11 years ago used the diagonal one so I chose to route it the same. But I wonder why one would pick one over the other and why there are two options. Anyone know? Pic below for reference so you can see what I mean:
