Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Agree. Not sure if at bottom but in any case a fine time to increase contributions.

Being follicularly challenged, I trim/cut my own hair. Dang trimmer just broke! It is beyond repair with a motor related thing. Luckily, it broke just before I started cutting my hair. Due to “high demand” the new one won’t ship till next Friday.

I’m aleeady maxed out on my 401k contributions. It’s one of the two contributions I always max out. The other is the kids’ college savings plans.

We have a “communal” big screen tv in the hallway at work and programming usually rotates between cnn, espn, fox To cater for everyone. This past week, it’s all been msnbc and the stocks consistently doing relatively better are online retailers and fitness equipment manufacturers (I know how surprising right?).

I guess if you can get pampers stock, they’re expected to do much better in 10 months or so.

Yep, not calling a bottom (but I do wish they hadn't put in their annual contribution match like two weeks ago), but better to be piling in money now than last year. Not like I'm spending on travel or racing or any of that.

They are, and the problem has been around long before he started shining a light on the issue. I can't say that it factored in to my decision to get a Rotor/P2M, I didn't know about it at the time, but I'm glad that I went that route, being the WattMonster that I am.

The Green Book and Top Chef, or iRacing, and Top Chef... First 80 minutes are Sweet Spot, so I may as well go iRacing, then the last hour and a half is endurance, so I think that's the right choice.

Are people suddenly baking more? I guess it's a good idea. Every time I've been to the store lately there has been plenty of bread, even when there hasn't been any soup, water, or TP.

I guess.

I am trying to avoid regular stores. The lines are a public health cluster F, IMO.

Praxis cranks on the Crux. Currently, Alba (aluminum). The plan is to upgrade to Zayante (carbon) 1X with GRX 810.

I was tempted by some really good prices on their cranks a couple months ago and they're sometimes available for a song as take-offs; some people seem to think that they're crap just because they're OEM on some bikes.

I didn't smoke for long and I never smoked that heavily (it was primarily a social thing), but it was still a *very* noticeable difference (particularly w/r/t athletic endeavors) when I quit. I can only imagine how freeing it would be if you were in deep(er).

Winco was pretty normal yesterday. Seemed like a fairly typical Saturday afternoon crowd and lines were short. I did wash hands before and shower afterwards. The main shortages I noticed included lunch meat, sliced cheese, and eggs. TP and paper towels gone, but luckily we'd gotten a 30 pack of TP before the insanity began.
