Rear TA trouble

Hello,

My gf has a 2018 Fuji Cross 1.7 Womens bicycle that we are having issues with. She got a flat tire on today's ride and we switched out the tube and it was all gravy. Went to put the rear tire back on and it was not threading back in. It does not thread with the wheel or w/o for we have tried both.

Thank You

Went to put the rear wheel on and the TA would not thread in.

I'm not familiar with Fuji's convertible thru axle system but, is it possible that the threaded nut came off the drive side of the frame? Is there still a nut or threaded portion of the drive side dropout for the axle to thread into?

There is a nut. On the drive side it's smooth then threaded. It'll thread into if I do it the wrong way but seems to get caught on a lip when trying to mount the correct way. The front looks exactly identical and no problems.
