Just what's so appealing about these? I've never thought much of them. I do know the city of oakland uses them for parking enforcement.

I figure with something specific like that, you would need to open up to Craigslist or eBay to get a decent one. Looking more locally?

Today I ditched Ciclavia to ride my mtb. I upped my gear ratio and head out. It was noticeably harder but not so bad and now the bike feels a little more well rounded because it isn't geared too low to stand and hammer on climbs or totally useless on the flats(still kinda, but that's SS MTB) ~20 miles with 2000ft elevation

I am pooped and I have two burritos ready for my mouf

Today I rode 44 miles on the Jamis with some friends and froze my ass off. Spring needs to turn the thermostat up a few degrees already. My legs are like cooked spaghetti noodles right now and the thought of standing up and walking to the kitchen to get something for dinner makes me cringe.

I just built up an SS MTB too, 26" on 2.0" tires and running 33/19. Feels pretty good to me so far (lots of steep climbs that I haven't had to walk, barely). What're you running now?

OK, my bad, I take it back.

I think your "often drunk by noon" description and irate post made me think so, but the post above seems coherent and reasonable.

Lets get back on track here...

Today i was luck enough to squeeze in about 30 miles of fun on a fixed gear.

Today i got passed by another singlespeed for the first time. I wimped out and had o walk up a pretty steep hill. I ended up catching back up to him though. we rode along together and chatted. Figured out why he passed me so easily on the hill an i caught back up sp easily. He was running 42/16 and i was using 46/16.

Hope you guys did some pedalling today.
