Addiction LXXX

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That's what I did. Although I am "the company."

It's been great. Don't know that I'd want to go back to duals. Have never wanted triples.

Nearest Microcenter is about an hour and a quarter away. Not terrible I suppose.

Current computer is this Gateway (RIP), but with a 500W power supply and a 2GB RX460.

Getting promotions here works the same as on the OTHER Enterprise in that episode where Spock has a goatee.

You have to be vicious and pretty much kill the captain to get his job. It helps if you have a Tantalus device.

Transporter malfunction throws Kirk, McCoy, Uhura, and probably some poor red-shirted phaser-fodder into an alternative universe, where the Federation is the Empire, and the way you get promoted is to kill your superior officer.

The Tantalus device, IIRC, allows you to check up on your potential assassins and victims surreptitiously so you know who's about to gork you.

Glad I live in Tejas. All we have to do is look for a NRA bumper sticker or the rack in the back window of the truck. No Tantaluses or special tricks required. Downside is that Scotty is never there to beam us up when it gets dicey.

A friend lives in Nacogdoches and she rides solo and she's more worried about the wild pigs than the people.

Since we're bragging about monitor usage, I've used 4 before and at first never thought I'd manage. After a while I didn't know how I made it without 4. I'm back to 2 mostly and 3 on occasion. Different responsibilities now.
