Nice! We had really interesting light this weekend, what with all the storms clearing out and new ones on the way (yay!). Here is yours truly contemplating the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

I kept hearing this number. 42, or something like that.
Seriously, I think the answer to the meaning of life, the universe and everything are as numerous and diverse as the person seeking the answer.
As for me, I think the answer lies in a slice of pie. Make mine coconut creme, please.

Bikes: Surly LHTD with a YAK trailer. I may have to ditch the trailer and go to panniers but I'll give it a try and see what happens.

Time to revive this thread!
Part of my ride yesterday was on the tow path of the Delaware and Raritan Canal next to the Delaware River. It was very cold, about 24 F. I was able to walk out on the wing dam located about a mile south (downstream) of Lambertville, NJ and New Hope, PA. There was some ice in the river and ice pushed up against the dam.
Here's the view looking back to NJ. The tow path runs along the slight rise next to the river.
An the view from the tip of the NJ side of the wing dam towards PS.

I know the scenery is not spectacular, but a blue sky, rolling hills and fifty degrees make for a very nice January ride in central Oklahoma.

Vic, I'd like to see a good commute for you, if these are the crappy ones. Seems that every shot that you post of the mornings is beautiful. You are an indeed lucky man, sir.

Almost completely off topic ... my morning commute for the last week consisted of a short stroll to the beach for some reading. As my wife will attest, I don't have a long enough attention span to read novels.
Besides a few of these (photo below) the next closest thing to a bike that I saw (and used several times) was a Lemond spin bike.

Forget the thread "What do you look like", I think someone should start new thread called "What did you look like in the 80's". Always good for a laugh. I'm on the right. I don't look a day older either.

Changing topic: I wasn't biking in the 80s. I had bikes when I was a kid, but couldn't wait to be old enough to drive (1962). After that didn't bike much except for a few years 1972-73 when we lived in faculty housing and my wife got our one car to go to work. Started again in 1996 after a heart attack. I was already 50 then and I look a lot older now!
