Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I found a set Mavic elite wheels and tires for $100 along with a new saddle, bar tape and such I'd say I'm all in for less than $300.

Like the frame, really nice, also the trainer set up, especially with the fan. I usually have to ride into headwinds nearly every day for real. Nice bike!!!

Tarmac expert eTap

Added S-Works areofly bars a couple weeks ago. Very comfortable, so, yes I wrapped them.

Here is a picture of my bike. I feel very fortunate to have such an awesome bike. It has really made me push myself a lot harder and I have gotten a lot better than I ever thought I would.

It's hard for me to say as I haven't had a ton of road bikes myself.

I was previously on this Motobecane Vent Noir.

Compared to that, the Emonda rides really well, but I also switched from alloy seatpost, bars, and saddle to carbon seatpost, bars, and saddle on the Emonda. So that could be a bit of the difference, but it still doesn't ride as well as my Crockett. Goes to show how big of a difference larger tires make.

I will say I love how agile the Emonda feels compared to my Crockett and my previous Motobecane road bike.

I need to take better photos of "Blue Monday" but here it is in all the glory: Foundry Chillkoot TI frame/ENVE fork with Ultegra DI2 Cane Creek eeBrakes El Chulo edition and handbuilt wheels with White Industries T11 hubs and H+Son rims (though currently the front wheel as seen in picture is actually a Dura-Ace 7400 laced to a different H+Son rim) It will soon be ditching the external A Junction for the bar end version.

It rides quite nicely and my only real complaint about the build is I wish Jagwire's link housing was a darker blue but the more teal color has grown on me. I also wish that Cane Creek had come out with the El Chulo brakes sooner because then maybe I would have done gold link housing and not had another set of eeBrakes now lying about.

Just picked up a 2017 Fuji Gran Fondo 2.3 with full Shimano 105 components and hydraulic brakes. Have some wheels that I'm going to swap out as well as saddle. Should pick it up on Wednesday.

This is a stock picture. I will post before and after pics once I pick it up and make the changes.
