Bad pics and seller says "brand" is faded and can't be read. Graphics and color say 85 760 but the fork in a fuzzy picture doesn't look flat topped.

The fork crown doesn't look right. Also, the bike should have a complete Campagnolo Victory grouppo on it and it clearly doesn't. The bike warrants closer inspection.
One of my rules of thumb is if someone cannot take the time to snap a decent pic, they certainly haven't taken care of the bike. That alone should allow you some bargaining room if you decide you want it.

500 series had same color that year, that would be my guess based on rear wheel spacing to seat tube. Even in that fuzzy pic appears to be probably be mixed parts over time (mismatch wheelset for example).

Yes. I thought I went through all the Trek catalogs. But you are correct. That pictured crankset is stock on the Beaujolais 500. Oh well.

There is nothing like shooting into the sun to present a lot of detail.

It may be, but the frame stickers are missing, and it should be 531 tubing . The mis-mash of parts makes it less than a good buy. Better pics or more inspection would be a good thing. Smiles, MH
