If it has a cable-actuated FD, it's a '60 or '61, I believe.

More like late 50s.

And a Huret Allvit rear derailleur.

Ah, good point. I'm not convinced this is a Lenton at all. It's a Raleigh for sure but the decals are totally different (what's left).

Unless it's been re-decaled at some point, the decals are consistent with the LGP. The boss for a lamp on the fork might indicate it's a UK model. In the catalogs Peter Kohler links to, I think that color was a UK-only offering in 1960.

Thank you. My research is redirecting to Retrobike.

I've owned a few of these over the years. Here's a 1960/61 in grey with a similar decal style:

It came with the original receipt:

I still haven’t done anything, other than swapping out the dried out brake pads. It rides so nice though.

Which may explain why Canada got a bunch of these 'fake' Superbes, which to my knowledge, never showed up anywhere else. '58 SW on this one.

Tell us more. Closeups of the decals would be interesting too.

I've had two of these, serial numbers ever so close. One was a 59 SW, this one's a 58. Perhaps the dumping of overstocked frames included the newly-redundant SW hubs. They even gave us the useless right hand fork mounts in their haste to dump the frames on the 'colonies' Still, I think it's cool. I traded one to a mechanic friend for a Fisher Montare and kept the other. Sorry for the derailment b dub. You've got some good Raleigh mojo going on.

Slight derail: Clubman, did you ever get the SW hub to work reliably? I changed out the rear wheel of my wife's '56 Raleigh Sports because it came with an SW originally, and it functioned poorly despite little or no wear inside. I had a '72 AW wheel laying around and installed it instead for reliable operation.

Oddly, both SW's I've owned have been excellent but I really don't put miles on them. Perhaps they were properly cared for and lubricated by conscientious, previous owners.

Speaking of Supercycle, I have an early 70s gold one as well.

Original condition when I picked it up several years ago:
