New Clyde has a ride

I now have my ride. Time to start hitting the road. As we all know our requirements are are such a custom build fits us best. I worked with a local bike co-op and ended up with just what I wanted at a price I could well live with.

Time to weigh in and start a chart. I know at the start I will not be going far or fast but over time my numbers should improve.

I will post updates as progress is made.

I have posted the story of my bike co-op adventure here https://thefrugalhamstercyclist.blogspot.com/
for those who have an interest. A bit to long to post here for the few that care.

Thanks to all who helped in the process.

Hope to meet some of you on the road at some point.

RickBlane,

Glad you found a ride that fit your budget. Also glad you picked up some bike knowledge by putting it together yourself.
The more you know about your bike, the less you have to depend on a bike shop and the cheaper the bike will be to maintain
within your budget.

Now, get out and ride and enjoy.

When you get a chance, let's see a picture of this fine new custom ride.

+1 on the sentiment. Nicely done.

And +1 on needing a picture. Because otherwise it didn't really happen.

Sounds good, and congratulations on getting that general ticket. I studied a bit for it, then just gave up, it was some tough stuff. I never really transmit on anything beyond 2M, so I was never really all that motivated to pass anyway.
