Finally took the plunge
Hi all. I have been lurking on this site for a while. I got back into biking early this year with my hybrid bike. After logging about 1k miles, I find myself wanting a road bike. At first, I wanted an entry level aluminum bike. Then I made a mistake (maybe not) and test rode a full carbon bike. What a difference! I test rode a LOT of bikes from Trek, Specialized, Giant, Fuji, and Cannondale. As soon as I got on the Cannondale Synapse, I knew that was the bike for me. The Synapse was the only bike that I did not want to stop riding during the test ride even though I was just riding around the block over and over. The owner had to come out to see if I was still around after a while. I bought it about 2 weeks ago at a great deal and put about 150 miles on it so far. Loved every mile!
Anyways, here are some pictures. Sorry for the crappy background.
Cheers,
Mike

Thanks guys.
WorldIRC - I did get fitted before the test ride. They adjusted the saddle height and position. They also adjusted the handlebars. Coming from a hybrid, I'm used to a more upright position. The LBS said I should go with what feels good right now. They said in the near future when I become more flexible (still not sure what this means), I will want to be in a more aggressive position. They said I can bring the bike back for adjustment as long as I own the bike.
bigbadwullf - lol. That bag was from my hybrid bike. I don't like carrying stuff in my pockets when I ride.

Nice. Congrats.
Never seen those white shifter levers before, as well as the white RD. Is that something new with SRAM?

Second that - never ride with pockets full of hard objects, the risk of injury from them when you fall is too great - tools etc belong in a saddle bag.
