Italia Velo Sport?

In the '80s I remember ordering (probably through a cycling magazine) shorts and gloves from a company called: Italia Velo Sport. I remember them being of very good quality and inexpensive. Shops local to me didn't really sell what I was looking for. (I started working in a LBS where ordering outside of our own suppliers was frowned-upon, so I stopped doing it!) Does anyone else remember them? Did they morph into something else or fade away?

Itlalia Velo Sport was a retail and mail order business located in Miami, Florida. They advertised in Bicycling magazine in the mid-1980s. I recall them specializing in less common Italian components and marques. For instance, they carried Gipiemme components and frames by Battaglin and Moser. I don't know what happened to them. Hopefully, some other members have further insight.

I purchased a number of items from Italia velo Sport. They sold clothing from smaller, less known brands, with good quality. I think I still have a pair of gloves they sold made by MG. They also did some type of touring/guided rides in Italy if I recall correctly. They were always fair with prices especially for items difficult to find in the US. this was many decades ago, when Italian, European goods were not always available.
