Saint Ken Kifer: Patron Saint for Cyclist
Wow. I can't believe its been two years already. (Sept 14, 2003)
I still go to his site for advise. What a great guy he was. I never met him but I feel as though I know him through his "Written Word."
If I was the Pope I'd make him the official saint of all cyclist. And I'd petition Saint Ken to watch and protect me on every bike journey I venture on. To steer me out of the drunk,s path and keep my and my fellow cyclist safe and out of harms way... Ah heck! I, Dang of Sacramento, Hereby Proclaim Ken Kifer of "Ken Kifers Bike Pages" Patron Saint of all Bicycle Riders all over the World. Starting......right now! Amen!........It is done.
I imagine Heaven has a few more bike paths up there now thanks to Ken.
Keep On Riding Ken!

I was lucky enough to have a brief email association with KK in the late 90's when I was re-discovering the bicycle (and that I was a tourer at heart).
I like to think he's pedalling the cosmos.

I stumbled on Ken's website when I start seriously getting into cycling, and if I go for longer rides, I end up on some of the same North Alabama roads he talks about on his site. It's very few weekend rides I go on where I don't think about the guy, actually. It makes my heart hurt to talk about it. If there is a better place, he's in it, and I'm glad he went doing something he loved.

I still visit Kens site. If it wasn't for Ken, I would have gave riding up years ago.

Thanks for all the help you gave me when I started cycling.
