Dumbest question ever re: saddle bag
So I got a saddle bag for my new road bike so I can carry a patch kit, etc. I got a Crankbrothers saddle bag like this one https://www.bicyclebuys.com/imageview...pg&h=400&w=400.
I'm at a loss on how to connect it. The closure for the strap is inside the bag. I pulled one end of the strap out, fed it through the bottom of my seat and then shoved it back into the slit on the top. But I can't quite reach inside to put it through the closure. It seems like this is a job for a contortionist, certainly I can't imagine a person with bigger hands than mine being able to even remotely do this. I must be doing it wrong. I looked on the Internets and didn't see anyone else having the same problem, so I'm going to just assume I'm an idiot and ask here if there's something, anything that I'm missing or is there a trick I'm just not smart enough to figure out on my own?
Please think about replying with some sage advice and save me from myself. Thank you in advance, in particular for any pity you can spare for me.

Or you can carry all the things in your jersey pocket and have a clean look to the bike without the bag

I have a Cannondale bag that I no longer use, it doesn't have the velcro on the outside, it goes through like this bag. the inside of he bag is lined with velcro for the strap to secure to. My bag was fine and did hold everything ok. I just decided to get a small tool bag that fits in my jersey andlose the saddle bag.

It appears you have to thread the strap over the saddle rails and back inside the bag.

I believe it is attached with Gorilla tape...
Not trying to be an ass but if you are having a difficult time with that maybe leave fixing a flat to someone else...
Just saying...

yea.. i dunno how people deal with that.. I keep my phone and keys in my jersey pockets. and on longer rides gel flask or snacks. i also like to have a bit of space for arm warmers if it starts off cold but gets warmer later on. If i had a choice i'd put most of it in a saddlebag.. for centuries i have larger one that i do that so i can keep my upper body mostly free. i guess some people don't like things on their bike.. i don't like things in my pockets.

Nope. I have a little flat bag made by Lezyne. Everything fits into it well and it's flat. I throw it in my helmet when I finish a ride along with my gloves.
