I feel the same way about jeans, Doc.

I usually just wear...helmet, t-shirt of some sort, cut off jeans of some sort and canvas shoes of some sort.

Now I'm interested what you guys were underneath, I know people don't wear anything underneath their cycling shorts but what about the regular folks in cut jeans?
(I'm serious)

Ladies don't have to answer but what about the gents here? Do you guys wear boxers or briefs when they ride?

Cut off dickies, boxers, t-shirt, either my I-Path Grasshoppers or old school looking New Balance Runners, and a hat. Sometimes i wear my old Pryme helmet from my skateboarding days but it doesn't really fit all that good anymore its a little too tight.

usually street clothes since it is my commuter, regular riding, fun bike. Occasionally I take it to a "fast ride" and jump into the bib

If I'm commuting or going for an easy ride I wear shorts with bike lining shorts underneath, a t-shirt and some running shoes. If I'm going for a longer or more serious ride I wear bib shorts and a fitted jersey (I like my Coney Island Lager jersey the best at the moment). I also always wear a helmet and cycling gloves (I currently use a pair of Planet Bike fingerless gloves with kevlar/leather palms and a mesh top).

Bibs are the only way to go on long rides... and always commando.

Cut off whatevers (but not jeans), t-shirt, slip on Vans. I don't really believe in having to put on special clothes to ride my bike.

Am I the only one that rides shirtless? I find it very comfortable, especially on warmer days. If I need to bring a t-shirt I just tuck it into my gym shorts.

i did just order a pair of "baggy bike shorts". basically they look like normal shorts but have the padding. thinking i'll toss those on if i am going to ride over 20 miles. i notice my ass starts to hurt after about 20 miles.

I just bought boxer trunks. I guess they are just like boxer briefs, but shorter and don't ride up. Anyways, I love them! They stay put on long rides, and don't dig into my sack 10 minutes later.

I just ride in my general attire.

Late Spring/Summer/Early Fall = Dickies shorts and a tshirt

Early Spring/Late Fall = Jeans and a tshirt +/- hooded sweat shirt

Shoes are my free pair of chromes. I generally carry a bag with me because Im like a girl and bring more **** than necessary with me everywhere.

Although if I ever get in the mood to ride in the winter, I wear 2 pairs of pants/socks, a long sleeve undershirt, a tshirt, a hooded sweatshirt and a coat. Minnesota sucks in the winter.

Also I very rarely wear underwear, for those of you that are interested in whats going on in that area.

I commute everywhere by bike everyday, so my wardrobe has adapted to that. T-shirts, or whatever I'm wearing up top. Trunks or briefs on the pants yabbies. I rarely ever wear jeans, because they're pretty uncomfortable on the bike. I do have a couple pairs of cutoffs that are alright. Mostly I wear cut-off RedKaps or Dickies. I have a pair of Oregon Cyclewear Messenger Knicks that are stretchy and lightweight. They are the most comfortable piece of "normal" clothing I wear on the bike. I always wear my Sidi cycling shoes.

When I'm not riding to commute (just racking up miles with no destination except back home or possibly a coffee stop on the way) I love bibs and a jersey. I definitely don't feel like I "need" to wear "special" clothing on long rides, but I sure appreciate having something that is designed specifically for being on a bike. The added comfortability is immediately noticeable.

Usually just some jean cut-offs and a shirt with some vans. However, I have noticed on longer rides my boxers bunch up waaaayy to much and think I need to invest in the all-mighty brief.

I wear lycra shorts under my $20 shorts or my swrve jeans. I have a bunch of castelli stuff for my centuries out in farmland. The constant is road shoes. If I need to go mobile then the backpack with lock and flip flops.

But in all honesty, it cannot be said enough, it's has to be cold for jeans. I don't ride around at 7-10mph, and I sweat accordingly.
