I've never costed it but I'd figure it would be too cost prohibitive for a couple parts. And the time modeling it in CAD is $ too. That said, I'd consider it if this ever came up again.

I'm now convinced I should order a spare.

To the OP, it is wise to order two of these hangars, once you identify the source. I have a spare for my Chinese carbon wonder bike. I carry my spare for my mountain bike, because...crashes. PG

Neat that its back to working. I only have 1 bike with a replacable hanger and its my MTB...which i use a handful of times a year. It shipped with a bent hanger and after eyeing it straight, I still havent actually bought a replacement. Looks like thats on my list of things to do today.
So the most important thing is- whats the big gravel ride?...big miles?...big climb?...new area?

I'm a slow riding Clydesdale, so I am just doing the 50 (Taste of Sterile). The ride organizer (Dictator) is a hoot and keeps things fun and weird, which attracted me to this ride. It's his alternative to Dirty Kanza and he bills it as the second best Gravel ride on the DK date (original before it was cancelled).

Again, I'm an fool who needs to make mistakes and learn the hard way! I should have known better also as I have a background in polymers, bonding and some experience doing bonding but that was many years ago and the brain gets foggy....
Ah well, it seems to all be working out with the machining, threaded tapping and fasteners. This is probably the better solution until I get a replacement part.

Riding in the woods on the east coast I carry a spare. I’ve broken two in the last 3
months. Then I have two extras in the tool box.
JB Weld is good stuff. Thought the longer curing stuff is stronger. Anyway it should hold up unless it takes another hit.

Ironically, my other bike I do have a spare for, LOL. Why couldn't have that one broke? Murphy's Law is absolute.
Yeah, I need multiple spares.

UPDATE! Completed a 58 mile gravel ride today, no problemS!
except the nail in the rear tire, but that was quickly remedied. Tubeless and sealant did it’s job!

Interesting thread. I was rooting for your first fix although it seemed like it wouldn't work.
Mostly I'm chiming in to say that I had a Wow moment when I saw the Macross Veritech plane in your first set of pics! I hadn't seen those in years!

There is decent area there on the fracture line, and unusually the fracture plane is parallel to the hanger, not perpendicular. An adhesive bond may work. So would a weld if the material is rated for weldability, such as 6061.
This is the point where a homegrown 3D printer would be awesome, the manufacturer emails you a file and you print it out. A high strength plastic such as delrin might work. However elastic stiffness ("Young's mudulus") is an issue, not just strength, for shift precision.

Deraileur showed up today, installed just fine and will test ride tonight!
Actually showed up at LBS (80 miles away) Thursday last week and they mailed to me arrived today.
