Been off my bike for 8 days .
My bone bruise on my shin feels better than it has in almost a year . And my knees are better .
I’m planing on doing the walking thing a few more days before I start back to riding .
And when I start back , I probably won’t be riding everyday for awhile.
May alternate days with power walks , and step counting .
I had hit a wall with my weight loss with my riding , because I was riding all I could handle , but it wasn’t enough.
I’ve lost about five pounds doing the power walks .
Im going to set a goal of 100 miles and see what happens.

It's a beautiful morning with temperatures in the low 60's and humidity in the mid 50's
I'm going for a ride......I'm going to keep my goal open this month

Beautiful here also, a decent headwind on the return (as usual it seems). Logged in 22 miles. October will be a bit busy with a romantic getaway and leaf seeing up north, so I’ll go with 500 miles.

It's beer-guzzlingly hot, so I'm resting today (and not having any beer), but have my 50-mile route planned out for tomorrow when it's a little cooler, and I'll stick to the beach to minimize the temperature. In even better news, I got word my new wheels have shipped, so I'll be back on the Tarmac much sooner than I'd figured. Going to aim for 700 miles again, which may turn out to be unduly aggressive given that I'm supposed to start a new job at some point this month (I haven't learned exactly when yet) and one weekend will be consumed by my daughter's wedding. We'll see.

October Goal: 400 Miles
10/01/20 15.32 Miles
Hoping to ride 400 miles again in October, not gonna push my body and just take it slow and easy and let my recovery continue. October does tend to get wet here in south Texas So I'm hoping I can meet my goal again.

October goal 100
10-01 2.1
MTD 2.1
Short test ride . I could feel the side of my leg start getting sore before a mile .there’s a dent in the inside of my right shin about 3” above my ankle.
But I had to ride a few more minutes

Edited to add that the gentleman was riding a cool fat bike. I don’t *need* a fat bike but they’re pretty cool. Hmmmm.

10/2 - 50.5 miles
MTD: 50.5
Goal: 700 miles
Weather was perfect for the first couple hours, was starting to get oven-y when I got home, now at 3 pm it's in the lower 90s. But I'm on the board for the month.
