It's not that cold out today, but comparatively it's frickin' freezing from the last few days. I've been at work for almost an hour and my thumb is still a little numb.

Nice ride in but legs felt a little weak. It was 27F this morning, almost 10 degrees lower than yesterday. In a couple months when I start whining about how hot it is someone remind me that I whined incessantly about the Spring delay. I guess at least I didn't get farted on like whitenhiemer, that cracked me up!

27F/-3C, feeling like November with a gnarly crosswind howling off Lake Champlain. Sunny though.

Another not very fun day. A couple of degrees below freezing, and a biting wind straight into my face, with the exception of the first half mile, which somehow has a tailwind. (I guess it's a northwest wind, and I am riding south, then west. But the wind has been staying relatively stable all day, so my ride home has been fast, with the exception of that last half mile, which is both uphill and into the wind.
Tomorrow is supposed to be warmer.

Another fast morning commute on my quickest and lightest commuter bike with a tailwind most of the way. Legs were a bit tired from riding fast the past two days but still made great time. Plan to take it easy this afternoon as I will probably be battling headwinds. Taking the rest of the week off work to go riding at the coast for Cycle NC. Friday is supposed to be a washout, but the weekend weather is supposed to be sunny and mild. Tomorrow is my day for packing and doing chores, but I hope to get in ride from the house.

Ride home the last two days has been brutal with stiff headwinds. I was so whipped yesterday when I got home I ate dinner and went to bed! This morning it was 27F but supposed to get near 50F this afternoon and the winds are supposed to abate. I hope so - feeling pukey after three days of cold mornings and two slogs home.

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
It was a gorgeous day yesterday and was only spoiled by some drunken louts who decided to take up space at one of the rest areas along the multi use path... I was coming up on them and heard them cursing and swearing and was behind several elderly ladies who were walking in the same direction and looked visibly nervous.
I got off my bike and walked beside them and one of these guys started threatening me when I looked in his direction but I guess my "don't f with me look" and his state of inebriation kept him from getting up... the little old ladies called me a gentleman.
I called in a complaint to the police afterwards and when I rolled through 20 minutes later they were gone.
I don't have a problem with homeless people until they decide they want to share their problems with you and this is an area frequented by a lot of people walking their dogs, strolling with kids, and is surrounded by a number of senior apartments.
This has been an ongoing problem for some time... on the bright side the homeless guys never smash bottles like the weekend revellers do.

I had a wonderful commute but we are still way below our normal average temps (18F in the morning), it was only 38F at noon. Well, at least the sun is shining and the skies are clear. Oh, did a mention that we still have quite a bit of snow on the ground?!?

good for you 65er!
I once made the mistake of AGREEING with the rant of a homeless women in a NYC subway. even though I AGREED with her rant she started yelling at me and I don't even remember what about. since then I try never to actually speak to a homeless person, other than to say: "not today, sorry" when the ask for money.

32 F 9 mph wind
was a lovely ride in, had some good tunes on my phones and made great time
then i got to the rack outside my office and reached for my ulock that wasnt there.
it either fell out of my belt loop along my journey, or my dumb ass forgot it at home (most likely the latter)

Still cold (about 28F as I left home), and still a biting headwind. But the ride home should be better.
I said that yesterday as well.
I am starting to wish my commute was a little longer than 5 miles round trip.

Temperature for April is supposed to be above normal but it was 24F when I left home this morning. That's wayyyyy below normal. My body must have switched to Spring temperature mode because it felt colddddd. Normally in winter, 24F feels quite comfortable.

Very nice sunny morning, almost no wind (the forecast was for 20-25 km/h SW wind). I left home earlier because of the wind forecast so without wind I had time to take a 10-12 minutes break beside the river.

I feel lucky to have had no headwinds earlier this morning, seems like a lot of wind out here on the East Coast.
Biggest surprise was the cold...just at freezing. Come on spring!

First commute in a few months today. Thought it was supposed to be spring, but felt a lot like winter still with temps in the mid-20's. Hopefully the ride home will feel warmer. Taking it easy (read slower) as I am not in bike shape yet.

First commute without long johns and with only 1 baselayer on top. I even had to take my jacket off and switch to the vest on the way in.

I had a great commute this morning. It hasn't been this warm (38F) for a morning start since last fall. I took a little longer way in and added some miles. I'm really looking forward to the ride home, it's over 50F!!! Plus the sun is shining... of course I'll have a head wind, but that's okay. Our snow piles are getting smaller!
