if were starting a hate list, lets add cabbies with no TLC licences, access a ride drivers, commercial contractor vans, peds staring off into space, and people walking dogs on invisible retractable leashes

Back on topic, here's some pics of my Motobecane Messenger frameset rebuild after I transferred all its parts to my new Leader Cretin frameset. Most of the parts came from the Vilano, which has been torn down and will be discarded. Many of those parts were on the MM originally, such as the cranks and saddle. The remaining parts were takeoffs from other bikes or existing parts bin stuff, so I didn't have to spend a penny on this rebuild. With the demise of the Vilano, this bike takes its place as my beater / lockup bike. Gearing is an easy 48 x 19, which works out to about 67 gi with a 700x25c rear tire. Weight is under 21 lbs.

Some pics of my new Leader Cretin frameset build, which used parts from the Motobecane Messenger (aka naranja). More details are in the Leader Love! thread.

Looks really nice.
You have a very nice stable, how do you store all your bikes?

Since I picked up the All-city big block, my 29er is now going to be my errand/grocery bike. Just picked up the Wald Giant basket today. This bike handles the 7 or 8 pound basket pretty well. Still fixed on a Tomicog.

Thanks guys! First build ever. I am surprised by how it rides, not harsh at all even with 700x23's in the city. But im going to go with 25's once the tire is done. The hubs are amazing. So smooth and makes the bike so responsive.

Here's my trusty steed! A 2008 Bianchi Pista. The hipster mobile!! LOL!

Out for a ride on my Bianchi Pista (with a Thompson setback seatpost).

My Bianchi Pista with a Campagnolo 48T chainring.

Bianchi Pista with a rare Nitto NJ-89 stem (NJS stamped) and the bars are Nitto B125AA bars (NJS stamped).

The saddle to bar drop on that Bianchi makes me a little nervous, but it's a super nice build. Love the world champion spacers.

Cool bike! Stem looks weird with the spacers underneath(to me). Just never been a fan of too many spacers there, whether above or below the stem. Sometimes need them to make the bike fit tho, I suppose.
