LOL I just pulled that ad up, same frame Sheldon bought. But he went through the store he works at and got directly from Trek.

I had a similar type of break on my carbon fiber frame. Replacement from cannondale didn't look like it was going to happen, however, the owner of my LBS went to bat for me with cannondale and I did get a frame replacement as part of the lifetime warranty:

i chatted with shop and no go on warranty. A few years ago the bike fell on right side and the derailleur showed evidence of having been scuffed up. No way could I prove the chain of event leading to frame damage.

Today was my last opportunity to take advantage of TrekFest (it ends tomorrow) so I pulled trigger on 2017 Emonda SL6 Pro with vision carbon wheels and full ultegra. A 56cm bike weighs 15.9 lbs according to their site. I ride a 52 so smaller frame might be a smidge of weight shaved. Used my Trek card and will get 12 mo same as cash. As part of Trekfest I got $200 in accessories: went with the orange cages that match, doutrap s sensor module and 800 lumen light.

Hated spending the money this bike was just too tempting. Can't wait to ride it tomorrow.
