What's your C-V Kryptonite?
Forgive me if this question has been asked, but I didn't see anything in the past forums like it.
So, having just bought a fairly used and abused bike that a good portion of my brain was telling me to pass on, it got me thinking about those small things that get me weak in the knees and cause me to act against better judgement when I stumble on bikes at garage sales or on craigslist. And I mean this beyond finding a premium brand name or high end components.
For me, it's finding a bike with front rack and/or an obscure manufacturer (preferably one I've never heard of before). Both of these explain my latest cheap pick up.
Maybe you all have higher standards out there than I do, but I'm sure some of you have kryptonite like me. What will get you to act when maybe a lot of your brain tells you otherwise?

Touring racks and 80's panniers, odd shaped packs/ bags, race swag (musettes, bottles), obscure vintage MTB trinkets/ small parts, and bicycle related hand tools.

Miyatas.
Custom builders that I haven't heard of before. I like to see what they did to make a frame stand out as coming from their torch.
Any old frame with STI/Ergo shifting. Makes me feel like someone loved something too much to get rid of it.

Bargain prices on tubular wheels.
Chrome lugs.
Hand-filed lugs.
Drillium.
Pantographing.
Titanium.
Nice old leather saddles.
Campagnolo cranksets.
Mavic parts from the mid-80s.
VAR tools.
I could go on but I'm starting to feel faint...

Off the top of my head, contrasting lugs - whether black lugs on a white PX-10 frame or chrome lugs on any number of frames, I'll be interested.
Also, nice but neglected frames... if it was once high end but is now covered in rust, there's a part of me thinking "I can fix that..." even if I really can't.
And yeah, unique stuff... James Pickering frames, anyone?
