Toe Straps

Can anyone suggest what kind of toe straps they like? I am wondering if velcro vs. leather is better? Is velcro easier to get out of than the leather straps with the buckle?

Any suggestions on brands or links to a strap you like would be helpful. Are the Black Line Sprinting ones any good?

Thanks,
JT

If you search, this has come up here before.

That said, I'm not a fan of the quality of the BLS nylon straps.

I'm using the G Race straps and Cruz Components adapters with Speedplay Zero pedals. So far, they seem great. The straps are a little fiddly to get on, because they don't hold themselves up like a toe clip (no body to the straps, just soft nylon straps). But easy to get off and very secure when fastened.

I bought these months ago, but never installed them...until I ripped out of a pedal on launch from a start gate, which was pretty exciting. But I don't need that kind of excitement again. So I installed the straps the next day.

Brooks Cycles in the UK are stocking straps by a new Scottish manufacturer, Gallus Baffies. Been getting used by tons of guys here, lots of testing, not a single failure yet.
