Mixed TT?
I haven't watched it. Just read about it. I'm mildly aghast, though not as much as Lefevre.
What do you think?

Seems like a fine idea to me. I like the added dimension that one part of your team may be comparatively strong while the other isn't, so winner won't be as clear early on. I'm not sure why they have a trade team based TTT when every other event is nation based. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch it on flobikes.com for some odd reason.

I don't know the rules and I saw parts and could not figure it out.
What I would like is a relay. Where the guys go all out, then the women do (either order). Men and women riding together in the same TTT is not interesting. I thought I saw that.
Anyway if you can easily figure out what they are doing, it is not going to catch on.

Liked it. Watching the participants, they liked it too. I expect it to stay, and appear at the Olympics as well.

I think it would be really really fun to watch a relay cyclocross team race. Either mixed gender OR single gender.
Have to physically slap hands with your next rider.
Every rider has to do at least one lap per team, but if you choose to leave a person in they won't be able to go full gas the same way as the people doing fewer laps. Strategy.

Notice that they also held mixed relays at the World Track & Field and thought I heard it will be in the Olympics next year. The event I saw was the 4x400.

Ha ha! Yes! Short course CX-Madison. Instead of a lap being 8min for a pro, make a lap like just a minute. Then Madison style sling into the action!
I'm thinking like how they move in the dirt and obstacles for monster truck rallies into arenas, do it in an arena like that.
