Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yes. It happens in a lot of big cities. Saw a big group in Brooklyn last year.

Yeah, but what about the balance? That hole has got to be a problem.

It’s certainly a thing in DC and Baltimore.

We grabbed some dinner makings and motored over to a nearby anchorage for the night.

It’s 34° here with 15 mph winds. I’m hunkering down for a few hours before riding. Probably watch Paris-Tours.

I haven't formulated a plan for the day yet, but it will include the purchase of more coffee beans.

About the same here, and it's been similarly miserable here for the last 4-5 days. Damp, too, which is the worst. I'd rather a crisp 20 than a damp 35.

Undecided on whether I'll ride today. I have my minimum 100 miles in for the week, so if I do ride, it'd just be a token, get-out-of-the-house 20-30 mile jobber. I may just go for a walk, instead.

It's been an interesting season thus far for Vikings fans. They've alternated each week, winning in dominating fashion one and then looking like a sickeningly ineffective squad the next. Rinse, repeat. If the pattern holds, today will be an Eagles romp.

I've been an every other day rider, of late, because I have a major project going that I need to keep up with. And my knees, of course, in the cooler, drier weather. But today is Sunday, so I might just make an exception.
And Opening Day was just a few days ago.

Our local Fox affiliate has a nasty habit of playing a pregame show but NOT the actual football game. So, we can't enjoy Seahawks action from the comfort of our couch today

Sorry, was out riding my bicycle. A friend on the ride has the Varia radar and he let us sync with it so we all got to see how the device works.
