Rainy day activities at the rjones28 Service Center:
Install the trainer tire and cadence sensor on the Schwinn. New battery for the cadence sensor.
Put fenders on the Fuji CX and swap pedals.
Move the Allez and the Langster to winter storage.

In just the last 48 hours, I’ve received the SSI one, student loan default, IRS past due, my Chase credit card was hacked, warrants...
For some reason, my phone has been ringing incessantly the last few days with these type of calls.

At the same time, I'm not ready give up on riding the Domane outside just yet. Having to remove the axle adapter and swap wheels isn't the worst thing in the world, but it is one more thing that makes getting out more cumbersome (just getting the winter gear on can be a chore).
If I had a wheel-off trainer, this would be easier.

I was just thinking about prepping the bike for the trainer. I need to pick up another cassette and size the replacement chain, among other things.

Sometimes, I get angry enough to engage. They will usually sit there while I “search” for my card all over the house and recite nonsense digits at the rate of one every 10 seconds.

I don’t answer anything I don’t recognize and we don’t even look at the caller ID on the land line, because about one in 87 calls is legit.
I only answer my office phone for inside calls. For a while, Bing listed my desk phone as the central number for our entire 20,000 employee agency. That was fun. Lots of people asking for accounts receivable. Fortunately, virtually no one uses Bing.

In my case it was a voice mail. I only answer calls from known callers too. I also answer numbers I don’t know when I am expecting a FedEx delivery. For some reason they can’t figure out how to open our security gate with the supplied code, and I don’t want the package returned to sender. It is worth the aggravation.

I warmed up the trainer on a Zwift ride last night and a random person gave me some sort of “thumbs up” or kudos. Me! I could get sucked in.
