Tacx Vortex 2180 vs. Tacx Ironman Smart 2060
I am looking at upgrading my Tacx Vortex 2180 to another wheel mounted trainer and I found a good deal on a Tacx Ironman Smart T2060.
Apparently it is the same as the Tacx Genius Smart trainers.
Does anybody have any experience using either the Tacx Ironman smart T2060 or the Tacx Genius 2080?
I’m wondering if it’s worth me upgrading. I would like a more realistic slope resistance and a quieter machine.
Also I would like the watt readings to be a little more accurate. After warming up the Vortex and calibration it seems to be ok.
Please only advise on these units. I know a direct drive would be much quieter, but my trainer bike is a 9 speed and it won’t fit on many of the direct drive units.
Any advice if the upgrade is worth it would be appreciated.
I use the Vortex pretty much everyday for Zwift.
Cheers
