Surprise! You can carry a cordless drill in cycling jersey pockets
Found a Rigid one on the shoulder today. Took out the bit, had to pound the battery off since it was partly dislodged from impact of falling off truck or trailer. Battery in left pocket, chuck end in center pocket, and grip in right pocket. Didn't hamper the two miles left to get home, and didn't feel that heavy. Free drill! Alas no charger. Found a Mac tools Torx driver bit socket last week.

Be prepared, somebody is going to ask if you're going to look for the rightful owner....... Lol
Not me, hope you get many years of service out of it.. Heck I hope it still works......

Two summer ago, while riding my bike, I saw two six foot sections of an aluminum ladder laying in a ditch and partially covered with phragmites. I live about 2 miles from that spot. I left them there and late the next afternoon I saw they were still there. When I got back to my house I jumped into my car and went there and picked them up. I still have both sections and they are very useful for doing various chores aroun the house.

Lol. While riding once. I spotted a reciprocating saw on the side of the road. I guess it flew out of the back of a truck? I pondered how to get it home but I was a long way out and those things are big and heavy. Good for you getting your find time.

I once found a very good condition iPhone on the road once. it was completely dead, brought it back home and it took a charge. waited for a phone call and gave the caller a ring. turned out it was owned by someone running for local office where i live. they were happy to get it back.
and no, i am not implying anything. keep the drill.
