This one started life as a deep burgundy with gold box lining, but over the last 60 years it has faded to orange with deep burgundy box lining.

It's actually a really cool paint job; there's a metallic silver undercoat with a transparent color over that.

This is the only photo I have at the moment of my orange bike it is a Raleigh Record with very clean and bright orange paint. I would like to do this up with all polished alloy pieces and get it lite as I can.

I don't think I've ever owned an orange bike. But I can never be sure.

It must be buried under all the other bikes, because I don't remember it at all.

Tom...let me try and help:

It's immediately to the left of the Hearse and in between the Confente and the Hetchins.

Yeah, I wish I had a Hearse, a Confenti, a Hetchins, and a Cinelli. I'd be happy with just the Cinelli!

These were hand made at the Motobecane factory and every year they were always delivered late in the season due to all of the hand made detail (filing on the lugs, hand-made detail,etc). If I could have one vintage steel frame, this would be it. The geometry is a nice mix of race handling and compliant ride. The decals are silk-screened and clear coated (except for the Reynolds stickers). I have a Team Champion made a couple of years later with Columbus tubing in a metalflake blue color. The geometry is more relaxed (yours is better!), the lugwork is not as nice and the graphics were changed (your classic MOTOBECANE graphics are way cooler). Thanks for sharing all of the nice photos..

cross post from the Holdsworth thread. I'm so stoked on this bike

I was able to fulfill my dream of a classic English bike and an all Campagnolo bike in one shot!

Can I see some more pictures of this bike? I've got a Carlton that I'm trying to figure out, it gets closer to orange every day it sits in the yard;

Oh, and here's the Sunset Orange Continental that I picked up yesterday morning. I really want one of those World Voyageurs. Continentals are easier to find, though.
