Ah, one of those "I couldn't possibly be wrong" guys. Let's look at what a fork represents visually, the utensil - a handle (the steerer) and tines (the fork blades). I don't really see how you can justify using a plural to represent one bicycle part, the FORK.

I think I've seen those fork blade decals for sale at eBay.
Maybe the bike never left the factory with them?
If that is the case, I'd be scraping them off and show off more of that nice chrome on the fork legs.

I'll get around to it. Discovered a flat front tire prior to the last ride. Took the De Rosa instead, wow, I really need to service the Ergo's on the Pin.
Hole on the rims side of the tube!? Patched it and got another in a different location. Put in another used, patched tube. Flat this morning. Very slow leak. Tire was turned inside out and checked. Rim was checked all the way around. Don't know what is going on. Maybe the 135PSI pushed too hard on the rim tape and hits a spoke end. Well at least the De Rosa doesn't have those decals on the fork legs!

Call me stupid, but I'd keep the Columbus decals. It looks pro race ready.

My Concorde has those and quite a few other Columbus decals on it. Not sure if I'm leaving them or not. The paint is super delicate on this one.

Done: It does look cleaner.

jamesdak I find that your bike looks very acceptable with those stickers on them! Since the Concorde has a white background with black letters, it works for me.
The Pinny drew too much attention to them and not the rest of the bike. Plus the Pinny forks already have a Columbus decal on them.
Many Colnago's have full chrome forks, as does mine but it has chrome socks with paint over the rest of the chrome.
Dare I ask if the paint should be removed as well? Nah!

It looks so much better without that decal. The size of it was peculiar and looked very out of place.* Tremendous improvement!
* - Yet, on jamesdak's fork, it works nicely — probably because there's not another Columbus decal immediately above it. Its proportions seem more suited to a higher placement on the fork as well.

Good move, that bike looks amazing! What a simple way to make a huge improvement. I must agree that they look much better and more part of the scheme on the that jamesdak Concorde frame.

Thanks for the responses! I think what makes the difference is that chrome stays and fork. The bike looks more balanced. The chrome under the sticker was very smooth and clean, unlike the rest of the fork, tiny pits. Italian quality chrome work!
