Super Champion Blue label rim rope

Hi there -

I've recently been flatting my blue label rim. Air leak looks like abrasion on the inner surface where tube contacts rim. This rim has a channel going down the center and I know the Red label requires a special thick padded rope instead a typical rim strip.

The Blue has the same channel but to a much lesser extent and I'm wondering if there is a similar rope for this rim. I'm using Velox rim tape which seems to fit the channel. I usually dust tube, rim and tire with baby powder to lube the contact surfaces.

Any old timers, vintage guys, of mechanics out there that have experience with this?

Thanks in advance -
T

Quickest method would be to report it and give a reason/destination. Another way would be to ask a Mod or Admin via PM.

Or you could just wait and hope that either reports it for you or a Mod/Admin comes along (like I did ).
