Raleigh Road bike ID Help

Hi. I picked this up about 5 minutes from my house. The seller did not know much about it.

The decals are from the 80’s and it doesn’t look to be repainted or it’s a pro level job. I did a quick catalog scan and found nothing that matches.

I thought it might be a Made in Japan International but there are no model designations.

Thoughts?

Maybe a repainted Competition GS or old stock frame used up as something else?

I think it looks like a GS too but with cable guides added at the top. When I zoom in on the serial number I can sort of see some of the missing digits but not enough to make any of them out. That W at the front indicates a Worksop build and not Japan. The lugs, chrome socks and stays and well as some of the original components indicate, to me at least, a possible 1977-1981 Competition GS repaint.

Based on the serial number, in conjuction with the Campagnolo Nuovo Gran Sport components and Reynolds 531 DB, it should be a 1980-1981, Worksop built, Raleigh Competition G.S.

I tend to think also that this is a later version Competition GS. Someone did a nice job on the repaint or could it be powder coated?
