I e-mailed the person in Sicily but haven't heard back. Please let me know if something else comes up.

I need a stand over height of 49cm or less.

Here's Fuji 24" wheel junior bike in Baltimore:
https://baltimore.craigslist.org/bik/3257323937.html
I checked it out, and it's kind of a tank, with steel rims, etc. I passed.

The seller is very good and easy to communicate with (personal experience, and no, I'm not an "affiliate"). Ask puchfinland before bidding, though.
I swapped a few emails with the guy.

this is a NOS bike,

the 7 speed rear really puzzles me-its 126mm o.l.d.- (chainline issues plague classic juniors with short wheelbase)
the package looks really nice
the crankset dates from the 60's and is rarer then rare-
i wonder if it has matching hubs which are also very rare.

"Hi - well the company is out of business - we bought the Junior Race Bike in the late 80's as a complet bike. We don't have any other Junior parts left, but some mor Junior steel bikes, 20" and 24" - we will put them on EBAY in a few weeks. Best regards H.Hermann"

HEAR YE! HEAR YE!

My good freind in north finland sent nelli a present
real Junior cycling shorts!
He has a few sets still, and I said I would spread the word, Im happy to get them to you guys.

"Shorts are NOS and NIB. Manufactured by Kisapuku which used to be in Rauma.
I have 2 x 150 cm and 2 x 160 cm á 10 Euro."

Nelli is wearing a pair of 160cm
she is 145cm/57inches high

PM me, they are very difficult to find in these tiny sizes.

considering it is not a valuable bike, and the postage fees double correct amount it is a heck of a lot of dosh for something you wont get your money back.Bianchi made 10xthousands of low end bikes

earlier this year this bianchi came up for about the same money....

3ttt bar and panto stem, campy deraileurs, hubs, cranks, nisi rims,
columbus tubing,100th anna version

Q-ok please measure
the measurements below are for tubulars-
24" tubular rims = about 525 tape measure from outside to outside of rim
22" tubular rims = 480-485 of rim

these are 24" wheels. Rims are tubular Fiamme red sticker. Cheers
- yesh999

he still has the rimset- I asked for more info.
the TA 160mm cranks are the same as Nelli's 24" but the chainrings are not complete- no way I would pay that kind of money for the frame.
the complete bike would be worth 150ish

shame the arse is breaking the cranks and chainrings- thats under the belt

then in ebay is a NOS set of 3TTT handlebars for 70 bucks!

Traded some e-mails with my new Sicilian friend. hope he gets back to me. If there are any other 450A wheeled bikes you see please let me know.

On other topics, I took my 7 y.o. and her Gitane on the 50 mile loop of the North Shore Century (local organized ride) She had a blast!

Here's a pic of her about 40 miles in:

Thats great!
She looks faster then you.

I will do a scan thru my regular websites in the morning-
its an odd size-do you think by next summer your child will be on a 20"???
think a bit about it...

1lugnut has a 20" junior- you can ask if he wants out as he is stumped with the unknown wheelsize.

Thanks! It's okay , I have 2 more after the 5 y.o. but I think it'll be at least one full season+ before she can get on the Gitane.

Lugnut's bike is very nice but I don't have a lot of time to go sourcing rims etc. to get it going for spring. Still thinking about it though.

WHEELCHAIR RIMS!!!
clinchers

found a guy in germany who parts up wheelchairs

he sells the hubs off and the rims are sitting around..
I asked him about them...and trying to negotiate some kind of price.
maybe 30€ a pair plus shipping? if he got tires he should include them for this..

I have no need for them, but if more then one forumite is interested the rims should be sent directly to one of you guys to save the international shipping.

what I know

Alesa belgium 24 x 1"
540 x 19
tires on mine are;
25-540/541 24x1 600x25A

there is a set of Mavec junior levers up for grabs from Ebay.the size needs to be confirmed as actually being juniors

ebay #261108085322

Well , no response from the Sicilian for two weeks. So if anyone can find a 450A road bike with at least rear gears and a 50cm stand over hight, it would be appreciated.

Mike- I couldn't get anyone to facilitate the French bike (nice geometry but it was single speed)

Yesterday while cleaning up at the co-op , I found a set of 'Christophe Mini' toe clips. Not really sure if they're designed for junior riders , or just the smaller footed among us. They're not going to do any good at the co-op so if anyone building up junior bikes has a need for a pair just lemme know.

Exactly what I'm looking for, I think. Are these the "half" clips with no strap? How long are they from mount to toe?

I'll PM shortly...
