The bugs have subsided and now the creepy-crawlies are out and having babies. Considering how little traffic my private greenway has (a country road that now dead-ends due to new construction), to see 2 dead snakes out this late afternoon before the buzzards and birds-of-prey gobbled them up makes me think there must have been many more crossing the road earlier today.

That last snake looks like it will be irritable, since it seems to be molting.

Cinco de Mayo ride on a bike built south of the USA border.
Nice weather for a stretch.

McDonald's crispy chicken with pico and guacamole is pretty good. 750 calories for just the sandwich! VIP bicycle parking.

Where in Nassau is that?

I used to live in Suffolk and traveled extensively for work. Don't remember ever seeing it.

It's in Suffolk, intersection of Manor Rd and Little Plains Rd, a bit south of Greenlawn. The original was considerably smaller.

A local collector has a 'Show your Classic Vintage' every summer. Nice ride coupled with BBQ - AND bring any or all of your nicest vintage to show. The pic only captured some of the bikes displayed. Some very exclusive bikes from the past. Bring your own bike stand, too.

Oh, over by Huntington and Kings Park.

Used to love riding the rollers along River Rd in Nissequogue and commuted 347 from Miller Place to Hauppauge and back for 10 years. I was a member of SBRA and rode with their groups, though not the AAA earlybird paceline guys.

Your photo brings back memories.

Head over to the Long Island thread in the Northeast regional discussion forum. I've got a bunch of photos there.

I do enjoy looking at your pics....north Georgia looks like "a green and pleasant land".

Kentucky Derby Day party, we debuted the '69 his and her schwinns recently refurbished. The bikes were bought new by her grandparents, so it was time and money well spent.
