it is allowed out of competition, but banned in competition. There’s a pretty decent limit for detection, but edibles stay in the system longer. Definitely longer than like 9 hours anyway.
I had asked about a TUE back in January - so I emailed that lady and asked what to expect. Time will tell.
most shamefully- I didn’t win. Took 2nd because I let it come to a sprint. Honestly the worst part of this whole thing.

There's like an entire aisle at GNC that will get you busted by USADA/WADA.

State TT Champs is out unfortunately. The pinching in my leg has caused some nerve issues, and is becoming painful. Its a range of motion issue with my hip / femur. When I raise my knees, the left one stops 3" lower than the right. This is either caused by scar tissue and muscles placing the femur too far forward or bone spurs. Probably the former considering it falls in line with my other hip problems.
I did think I had a punchers shot at it, so hopefully next year I'll get to line up. Like any race, it depended on who showed up.

This should be my 1000th post on Bike forums. Is there an award?
(all in the 33.. are there even other forums to post in?)

not really.
I'll post in Road once a blue moon (blegh) and SS/FG (hipsters) but that's about it,
edit: fortunately for the mod staff we just get pony heads. Mine was just the other day...

Years ago it was fun in the road forum. Lots of photoshopping and funny stuff, despite the idiocy.
At one time the Southern California regional forum was good, there was a lady who organized rides with as many as 50 riders showing up. Met some good people on those rides but ******** on the forum tormented her and drove everyone away. One guy started his own forum which lasted for a few years.
I also post on the 50+ forum (I'm 64) and sometimes it's fun there but some of the older people are thin-skinned and quit or self-ban if they get upset.
I have posted on the Clydesdale forum but not for years, not a lot of interest for me there.

I check out the track racing and road forums pretty regularly.
I used to contribute a lot to the road forum, not so much anymore.
I also used to spend a bit of time at Weight Weenies, but I feel it has gone down quite a bit the last several years.

Ultimately I post on the 33 more than anything by a long shot. Sometimes I'll go on Slowtwitch or r/velo as well. The rest I just don't really vibe with; the 41 just has too much content provided by either the misinformed or brand new riders. I've seen great advice get buried and discredited by posters that were just willing to keep bashing in their poor advice. I've done that, but at least here you'll get called out for it.
The commuter forum is also really good. Much different vibe though.
SoCal forums were lit 10 years ago! Been on a few rides myself. Then a bunch of social drama came up;
1) Slower riders were mad that fast ones dropped them on a group ride
2) The RAAM guy broke up with his girlfriend and both stopped posting
3) MrBeanz got banned for making fun of an admin (which admittedly was over the line)
Then the only thing posted there was people dying or getting hit, which made it too depressing for anyone to lurk.

The whole USADA/USAC race clean program has been lackluster. I guess they’re doing a good job nabbing cat 3/4 masters that rarely see a podium via out of comp testing.
Glad to see they were out at the stage race, but I think they need to re-evaluate penalties for something like edibles and the inevitable increase in use. Silly to penalize for that.

Give it a few years and thc will be legal on a federal level, then it'll be up to USADA if they want to adhere to WADA or make an exception. I imagine WADA will also eventually give in. Maybe I'll be able to expunge my (possible) failure someday!

They do testing at national-level as well as (random) local events.
What else can they do? (given their budgetary constraints, of course)

Hey folks talking about banned users isn't really a thing the admins like. So let's refrain, please. Good or bad those folks can't chime in and this isn't the place for it. Thanks.

That’s a fair question and I haven’t been out at the races as much this year to see them. Maybe racers are cleaning themselves up and the only failures they have to report on are the targeted out of comp testing??

I used to be quite active on /r/velo, but the anonymity of that "forum" and website causes the trolls to just come out in droves. I still use the site as my primary source of news / memes / entertainment, but posting there can be frustrating at times.
Don't even get me started on the 4chan cycling community though lol.

Most of the positive reports that I read here are from out of comp surprise tests:
