@bikemig Thanks for the heads up! Those look like they would be much easier to adjust and fit to the brake track. I'll be on the lookout.

If you google around, you'll find a few threads on issues trying to make new cantis work on old bikes (this is a particular problem when going from 27 inch to 700c). There are more than a few posters on BF saying that these cantis will do the trick.

Brake Update

I realized I never posted my fix to the 27in to 700c conversion. I found some Dia Compe 981 cantilever brakes in good condition and bought some new Kool Stop pads. I tried to take some pictures of the clearance but I haven't had any issues even running 700x40c tires. Stopping power is great! I have put decent mileage on the bike so far and I enjoy riding it as much as my SC Stigmata. Thanks for all the input!
