Its a Bargain at $987,654 ! There is a new and stupefying trend on FB market place of listing items at ridiculous high prices, the opposite of the listing it for a $1 but really asking $200 once you open the ad. In this case they reference a $300 online price - probably someone ASKING $300 for an old MTB and not getting it - as a comp before soliciting offers, here's a thought just ask $50 for your old Pug. I wonder if this tactic is actually working for anyone. SMH

crease in the seat stay, and it looks like the drive side rear dropout is snapped off. hard to know if the chain stays are also smashed, since they may have been flattened from the factory for crank arm clearance.

Yep.

From the ad copy "The rear sprocket has been repainted and if ridden alot may wear in an even pattern that shouldn't look too bad and won't effect the bicycle's performance but included is a free repainting where I pay postage both ways."

At this point I'll say, "What moron paints a freewheel?"
And, "What moron repaints a freewheel?"
For free? And pays the postage both ways?
Gotta be a scam.

It's the headset integral? Punch it first, then to the recycler.

The downtube cable guides and rear derailleur hanger might be removable/reusable as well.

I sent a bunch of emails to this guy , my first look at his ad didn't really show to much . it shows much more when you cut and paste , so I never saw this crease in the seat stay till I posted it here LOL . Anyhow the guy got bothered because I asked for better pics , told me he decided to keep it and start the build . He doesn't even know what a bottom bracket is . Actually that crease doesn't bother me , just cut and paste a new piece in . What bothered me is the guy thinks the frame is worth $180.

Ambitious, I'd say about three bucks in scrap aluminum.

The most valuable bits are the proprietary shifter mount assembly, the cable guides and possibly those bottle cage mount screws which had that oddball thread pitch in the early days. Although this looks too late of a frame for those. Absolutely impossible to find...

Free Working Exercise Bike (Wilmington)

Posted 3 days ago

"Getting rid of this because I'm totally buff and no longer need it. Works fine and still in good shape. Sitting on the side of the road, first come first serve. Will not hold. Bring a truck and a friend, will not help load it. Get it to work off all those extra calories from Thanksgiving!

In front of 7415 Murrayville Rd. Go past the dead end signs, last house on the left.

If the post is still up it is still there."

https://wilmington.craigslist.org/zi...028319861.html

(Last House On The Left??? I've seen that movie. Don't remember it ending well. Dead end, if I recall?)

Someone committed a felony to this super. Looks like Canti studis were brazed on to the nice chrome fork. At first I thought it might be a sleeper Colnago cross bike, but you can see the brake bridge in the shadow and something else is mounted in the front brake hole.
