Okay, you asked for it. The jersey is merino wool, the arm warmer are wool, the shorts and leg warmers are not.

Love wool! This De Marchi may be my favorite. I'm always visiting their website looking for deals.

I still have a rayon Rampar jersey (Raleigh's brand for dipping their toe into sourcing product from Asia), which I bought in the shop where I worked somewhere around 1976. Colors are split down the middle: left half is green, right half is red. I think. Haven't looked at it in a while. My guess is that the pattern was inspired by keirin racing outfits.
I miss my cotton jersey I got in 1964: white with a red chest band, three back pockets, two chest pockets, bone buttons. My last wool item: a long-sleeved red/blue Italian warmup jacket (came with matching wool tights, which I wore out because I didn't know that the ensemble was meant for standing around before and after races, not for riding).

Non-bike specific wear for me. In the winter, the layers are underneath the shell. Firm-sole shoes in the summer and light-up LED Shoes for night commutes in winter.

Amazon...seach LED Shoes. About $35. They've lasted 3 or 4 years now.

Lee Extreme Motion cargo shorts (stretchy and comfy - and room for wallet, phone, etc), camo SPF leg sleeves, Gildan dry blend T shirt (1/2 cotton, 1/2 poly), Beister SPF sun sleeves, Buffs neck gaiter, Levi's high-tops, home-sewn SPF skull cap under helmet.
I prefer to cover-up rather than slather on sun screen. Sun screen on face and neck only.

OCG jersey, Baleaf bib tights.
Onlinecyclinggear.com will customize any of their jerseys. Long sleeves and flocking turn any jersey into winter wear (depending on your winter, I suppose).
Mostly I go for solid colors, looser than sausage casing. Last summer I bought the most 'cycling!' jersey I have, blue with white polka dots:
my fanciest jersey so far (OCG)
The first time I wore it, I got a flat, so I'm sitting on my handlebars fixing it, while half of Santa Clara drives by on the highway. Oh, well!

This is probably my #1 jersey, Voler Peloton. Tifoli eyewear was a Father's Day gift from my boy, so they're always mixed in too.
Not pictured: Pearl Izumi Pro bib, short inseam, black.
