Tips for removing decal residue
Any sort of solvents out there that will take off sticker/decal residue without damaging paint? Or any good tips for removing that type of stuff/gooey substances.
Thanks!
Thanks!

3M adhesive remover works well... I've gotten it at auto parts stores before.

I use WD40 but only in extremely small quantities. Perhaps try using a hair dryer to warm the sticker and then pull it off. Here is a couple of pages on how I go about it. Hope it is a help.

I use a mild car cleaner/polish... a clean cloth, and a lot... I mean a lot of gentle rubbing. Not only do you remove the goo, but you also do it slowly enough that you can stop yourself before doing any damage to the paint.
Also, because it is polish.. it is shining up the bike too. And it doesn't harm the clear coat.
But what do I know? I don't mind spending all day on making things pretty.

I ended up using WD40 because it's what was lying around the house. Worked great.
Veggie oil huh? Sounds interesting, can anyone else attest to this?

1-Xtreme Goo Gone (it's a solvent, don't use it with steel wool). Wet the rag, rub it on liberally, wait about 20 seconds, go back with the wet rag. It'll be gone.
2-WD40 if it's not bad, and to wipe over the Xtreme Goo Gone

GoofOff. Great all purpose spot cleaner. Be sure to rinse after application.

Blowtorch!
Highly effective but the results are often less than spectacular.
