Drewed special - Ciocc

Bored with the whole fixie thing

https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...E:B:SS:US:1123

Frame previously underwent some changes. Braze on shifters, front derailleur were removed. Brake cable routing was removed as well. Clamp on can be used for front d, brakes, and shifters. Origin8 Clamp-On Frame Cable Stop are sold for around 5$. Rear derailleur hanger was removed as well. Possible changes can be made to be restored.

Some people are idiots..... Then again, some people just do not care about bike as we do. To a lot of people it's just a bike, and they couldn't care less.

At least it is safe to ride----check out this drew'd Ciocc, also on eBay. Luckily, no one is stupid enough to buy this thing, it has been listed and re-listed many times in the past year.

I wish it was a 59, it may go cheap enough to use it for a cool IGH project

I love riding a fixed wheel bike and did a long commute on track bikes for a number of years. I used to spend time looking at all the offerings on 'Fixed Gear Gallery" ( still look occasionally) but i must admit - I'm getting a little bored of the whole single speed thing and I do feel a bit sad to see a great frame altered permanently. I suppose I don't own the frame(s) so I shouldn't comment on another persons right to their cycling preferences.

Hypothetically, what would be the recommended course of action if one wanted to use this frame again with a Campagnolo RD? Would a claw work, or is a new dropout required?

I don't understand doing this to a bike. If you want a track frame, get a track frame.

Shame it was drewed, but for someone who lives in a flat place like me, it's a chance for a nice frame, cheap, for a single speed bike.
I wish I could bid on it, it fits, but the "bike place" is filled up for now.

I suppose if I had it I would build it up with an IGH.

Since all the lug joints are intact, this could be an excellent frame to start some beginner's brazing. Of course it'll have to go cheap to make it worth the time.

Might make a good candidate for a 8 or 11 speed IGH.

it's really too bad what has been done to this bike, but he will probably get more for it than karma would suggest. I can think of all sorts of uses for it if it wasn't too big for me.

Up to $61 and up only 20 hours... I think it is a fine looking frame. I wouldn't modify it (it isn't my size and I have way too much as it is ). Just sad, and there is the problem of the derailleur, but not serious as far as ridability.

The whole bike is for sale in parts, another idiot. Some people just need to be banned of getting a bike for life. The chrome is bad, paint bad, sure the frame is not straight, sure the moron used 120 mm hub in the bike aswell so the rear end for sure needs some work. The RD hanger is not there either, thats the last detail that killed the bike, it needs new drop outs. Stupid arsss...!

As a Ciocc fan and owner I am sad. If it's your bike you can do what you want but you must understand the repercussions. I wonder what mine is worth.
I too would take it and buy a claw to make it usable. Ride it and injoy it. Way to much money to fix it right.
