my naranja gets fyxation grips
So, as I've posted previously, I was disappointed with my Oury grips. They were uncomfortably hard, I was getting a bad case of waffle hand from them and I even got a blister from them. So, I've tried the Fyxation BMX grips, and am pleased with the much better comfort. They are a bit softer and the grip pattern is better. They are open at the ends, which makes installation much easier and the hard plastic end plugs withstand fallovers much better. They are a full inch longer than the Ourys, which is probably more useful with wide BMX bars than my already narrow flat bars. The only thing I don't like is that they are only available with the BMX flanges, but this is only a cosmetic issue. I installed them using WD-40, which worked out very well.

Can it get more orange?
Oh wait; yes it can! I bet you have a checklist of what parts you are going to get in orange.

Nice looking ride. The Fyxation BMX and Track grips will both work with a BMX, MTB or riser bar. The inside diameter of each grip is the same so there is no problem with fit. They have a different outside diameter though so you need to make sure that your compression plugs or bar end plugs have the same matching diameter. We have matching plugs that are available to fit each style grip. Each set of our bar end caps ships with 2 different size spacers so they'll fit most bars out there.

I'm looking to buy my first pair of grips from my fixie with MTB bars, any brands besides Fyxation you guys would recommend? Or are they the best?
Thanks!

I just got a pair of Ourys and I do think they are very comfy. I also like track grips on my risers, but I could see it getting a bit harsh on the hands after awhile. I have not tried BMX grips.

It's hard to say which ones you'll like. A lot of BMX grips are very good, Odyssey, Stolen, Fit, Shadow Conspiracy...etc etc. You should go to a shop that stocks BMX stuff and feel the grip, it's really the only way to tell what you'll like.

Of course, track grips (Strong V, All City, Yoshida Champ) can be an option as well.
EDIT: I should point out that I am very partial to BMX grips.

Animal grips are also very comfortable; they put ourys to shame. If you don't like how it has the inner hand stop, a simple exacto knife mod'll do the trick.

We're obviously biased but our grips are pretty soft, grippy and the match the tread/colors of our tires.
