Broken Tent Poles???

I was setting up my Catoma Combat 1 man Tent and 1 of my poles was not all the way in the hole and I tried to fix it and my tent pole broke where two pole meet. and I had use
Millitary 1000mile olive duct tape and I can not order a new Catoma Combat 1 man Tent yet and I can on 3-3-2016 when I am working the Carnival games in Goldfish on Butler Amusements and on 4-3-2016!...and I will also buy REI Passage one man tent as a spare?

Tent Pole

My ??? is Should I save the old Catoma Combat 1 man Tent and use the new Tent body and Tent fly as a Spare parts and save the old tent poles as spare???

or Should I Email Catoma outdoors to see if I can buy new tent poles???

Thanks
Biketouringbobo

Do you want spare parts? If so, keep it and buy a new tent.
Do you want to keep using the tent? If so, buy some poles.

Your question seems like one only you could answer.

That doesn't necessarily mean they don't sell replacement sets or, like Big Agnes, perform repair. As suggested, contact them. You can email or call./thread

I've replaced fiberglass poles in the past. There are a few pretty standard sizes. Sometimes you find them at thrift stores. Or, outdoor stores. Generally cheap.

Broken Tent Poles???

Nice tent! I like that the fly sheet is reversable green/tan. Perfect for wild camping, or without the fly for star-gazing

Make your own replacements:

tent poles

Easy. I made a new one for my Tarptent Contrail.

Wow, that tent weighs 5 1/2 pounds for 1 person?
For that kind of $$ I'd get something lighter.

I wouldn't even be able to get my head in such a small tent (unless you meant feet, and not inches).

I would e-mail or call Catoma Outdoors first. Most companies sell replacement poles, or will tell you where they can be repaired.

This is just my thinking on a "spare" tent: Tents do not usually fail suddenly in normal use. If your main tent starts to show signs of failure (wear and tear), there is usually time to get a replacement. A spare tent is just something else to store.

Another thought: Have you considered a 2 person tent? It sounds like your tent is your home. It seems that a 2 person tent would give you a little more space to "spread out". You can get a nice 2 person tent that is lighter and more roomy for about the same price. Just a thought Get it from REI; they have a great 1-year replacement policy.

Basically just do what people have told you for all your other broken gear. Not that you really want our advice because you already have made up your mind.
