1998 Nashbar Flashback. The only bike I’ve ever had stollen was one like this when the garage door was left open on Christmas Eve. I got another one (a black one) that was too small but I rode it for several years. That one was also the only bike I’ve ever sold (I usually donate bikes I don’t want or need). I found this one on Fleabay after buying yet another one that was way too small...the seller mismeasured. I kept the other one for my daughter to ride when she comes up to Denver.

Enjoy

Grabbed the FSU and the Cross Check for another set of pictures now that the sun was out!

2013 Surly Cross Check. Worked with a local shop to build it from the frame up. 10 speed 105 components, Mavic Open Pro wheels. The knobbies were added this season to try some trail riding. She's a tank, but fits me like a glove and rides like a Caddy (and weighs almost as much).

Reposting the Twin6 Standard Titanium FSU. Less than a week old; no huge tweaks from their house build that will be on the web page at some point.

My commuter Trek CrossRip that I have altered quite a bit:

Trek Emonda ALR 6, love this bike. Just does not ride like an aluminum bike of the old days. This thing is just a very smooth ride.

And the newest member of my group, Trek Domane SLR7....fantastic bike.

I also have a Trek XCalibar Mountain Bike, but can't find the picture for that one for some reason.

Not really all of them but it turns out I don't have pics of the mountain or gravel bike. The Rock Lobster was purpose built for my weight, maybe a little over built but I'll ride it anywhere with no concerns for it holding up. Heavy Duty enve gravel fork, and I love how sturdy the wheels are. I still prefer Kings but honestly the White Industry hubs are splitting hairs on which is best.
The only thing making the race bike a clyde is all 280 of me on it, it is sub 17lbs and that's with the missing seatpack, though when weighed the seatpack was missing the pump so a little less then useful. Really feels light and fast.

Twin Six has heavy overtones of old school Klunker in the frame lines. Beautiful bicycle.

Very nice looking cruiser style MTB. Looked it up and it has an aluminum frame and on yours what looks to be a steel fork. Did this bike originally come with a suspension fork? In early 80's I raced on a Klunker against lots of other Klunkers and most of us would have loved to have a bike this nice. MTB's had to start somewhere so the technology was still being worked out. I love polished aluminum bikes.

The bike came with a steel fork. Nashbar made them for a few years as both complete bikes and frames. They called them “mountain bikes” and they were a clear copy of both the Retrotech and Merlin Newboys but much cheaper. I don’t doubt that it could be ridden off-road but I have plenty of other bikes for that. It’s a lovely bike to ride and never fails to turn heads and get compliments.

This one is my third version. One was stolen and the other one I broke by trying to put a Hellbent seatpost on it with a massive setback...the second frame was too small. I bought this one off Fleabay as a bare frame and have been adding various high zoot gewgaws to it over the years.

I weigh in at around 230lbs, and have a 10 bike stable, something for just about every need, and probably too many! Here are a few of my favorites:

The above is my favorite road bike, a ‘12 Breezer Venturi. It feels great, and is just a natural sports machine. I used to race on it, and it’s my go-to for fast club rides.

This ‘15 Kinesis Racelight 4S is my spring/winter road bike (with lower gearing and fenders) and my fast dirt road rides bike. I run 30c rubber, here with Gravelkings.

My fair weather cafe bike is this ‘19 Tern Rally. It’s just pretty, so when I’m making short trips or just checking out the scene around town, this is usually what I take.

When I just want to be whacky, like for Critical Mass rides, this ‘12 Mercier Nano fits the bill! I got this because I was interested in the minivelo thing, but this bike is quite cheap and does not ride nicely at all, really. I got it to the point where it is rideable, but the seat, a sacrifice to the style theme, is an ass-hatchet, for example. I do ride it a bit, surprisingly, in the summer, for trips downtown to Summerfest and stuff like that. With that 60t chainring, I can whip this critter up to some pretty high speeds, and I’m sure people swear that they just saw a bear on a circus bike ride by! I dwarf this thing.

Although it’s use scenarios keep getting slimmer with the kids grown and other bikes in the mix, for 15 years this ‘05 Novara Buzz has been my ride-or-die, do-it-all scoot. It’s pulled kids trailers and cargo, commuted through Michigan winters, and been locked up on the street downtown at 2am, waiting for me to leave the bar. Monkeylights on the wheel made it a favorite at bike festivals, too. It’s now mostly my winter utility ride, so it doesn’t see many miles anymore, but I really love it.

‘21 Breezer Doppler Cafe+
This is the latest addition, but already a favorite. For solo dirt roads and urban trips both, this ‘21 Breezer Doppler Cafe+ has proven superlative in just a short couple of weeks. The big 650b x 47c tires are just so plush, it makes me want to keep riding! The more relaxed body posture suits my increasingly unfit, aging body, too. I think that regardless of how my return to training goes, this bike will get a growing share of rides, because I really like it.

@jsigone - Yes and thank you. The De Rosa is the latest. I was contemplating putting period parts on it but then I found the wheel set, which is Ambrosia Nemisis, Campagnolo Record and with a Campagnolo 10V cassette attached, which set the direction. So it is all Record 10V with brake calipers of Titanium variety. My favorite at the moment with the Vittoria Corsa G+ Tubulars, < 21 lbs. The Pinarello is a close second with Chorus 8V and the Colnago with period correct parts from 1983ish.

I'd take one and cold set the rear to take modern parts and throw some 11 spd kit on it. Seems like your into the steel frame ride so would be nice to have one that is up to snuff.

I have an old schwinn 87 circuit sitting with oem kit, I need to one day make it modern. I don't ride it much cuz the down tube shifters. The columbus SL tubing is such a nice ride on my crap roads.
