Addiction 2021.1

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That is a good start but even then, I bet there is a lot of taxing left out of that ranking due to local taxation and fees. The multitude of taxing that goes on is mind boggling and the average person is only aware of the ones that they routinely see like gas taxes, sales, taxes, real estate taxes, etc. Registering a pet is also a tax. Most fees are really taxation and some governmental bodies have taken it to an art form.

Hence my fees written as I did in the original reply. We have a taxpayer bill of rights here, and no taxes will be raised unless we say so. Our fees are outrageous.

We got some variety of Yokohama GTs in the spring. Pretty good all around. Haven't bothered to put the winter tires on this year.
The VW runs Bridgestone Potenzas in the summertime. Very good wet and dry handling. Snow, not so much. But I have dedicated snow tires.

I'm surprised you have any water bottle cages on your bike.

New tool day!
Had to go get some crowsfeet to get the power steering lines off the rack and pinion, and I splurged on a super long extension to get the pinch bolt off.

It comes with a cost. For example, our roads have a growing number of imperfections. Nothing like the war-zone roads that LAJ rides on, of course, but still annoying.

I just made some room for another bike, by selling this one.

I'm curious what you folks think a fair price would have been.

Full 6800 components, and a 2nd wheelset(Novatec hubs and Kinlin XC-279 hoops)

I don't know the value of those wheels but I'm guessing you sold the bike for $2K?
