I have a frame mount for my pump that sits under the bottle cage... I do carry CO2, a spare tube, and tools in a seat bag so it might sound like a belt and suspenders kind of solution but I do like having that pump for topping off and adjusting psi as the riding conditions warrant.

on my mtb I don't carry co2, dunno why since I swear by it on the road bike, but I've got a specialized pump that is hardly larger than a tire lever that goes in my pocket.

How Do you carry Your Spare Tube and Pump

I have tube, tire levers, 9,10,11mm wrenches in an old sock, with a toe strap holding it under my saddle. If I am riding tubulars, I wrap my spare in a rag and toe strap it to the saddle. I never cared for the wedge seat bags. Why spend money on accessories when there are plenty of ways to carry your stuff with things you already have.

Seat bag on the 930.

When on the DMR I just leave that stuff in the car.

Frame mounted pump.

Since I rarely need to access a spare tube, I put it in an old sock (for protection) and tape it out of the way under the frame... in the triangle under the seat bag.

Go tubeless! We got tired of hauling around spare tubes. Now we just keep a co2 cartridge on hand - waaaaaaay lighter.

I've been tubeless for 6 years and haven't flatted, but some day I will and I don't want to be stuck in the middle of BFE so I still carry a tube and a pocket pump.

This is EXACTLY why I strap it to the cables on my down-tube.

I like my frame MUCH MORE than I like my little air pump. Any dirt and dings that I can stick to pump, INSTEAD of my frame, is OK by me.

Same. And I've seen people walking because they didn't have a plan with their tubeless.

This is also the reason I carry Park Tool tire boots. They are a square of sticky, flexible, thin plastic big enough to cover any repairable hole in any MTB tire.

To be completely fair, in 1 of the 3 times I've seen people walking, that guy also had a tacoed wheel. So having a spare tube would do nothing for him. But then there's trailside wheel repairs...

learn to ride a wheelie, you will cut your chances of having to walk out due to flat by half

Before I got in shape there was a shop mtb ride I used to go on every week and I remember every second of the night a guy lost pressure from his tubeless tire, borrowed a tube, flatted that, borrowed another tube, slashed the **** out of it, couldn't get another tube to keep pressure due to the cut in the tire, and walked about 3 miles off the trail, then had to wait for one of us to ride 12 miles back to the shop, get a car, and come back to pick him up.

it wasn't all bad, he was waiting at the bar and was three sheets to the wind.

Think I will try this out this weekend. Tie the pump to the bike with the tube!

Is it me or do those tires look short?

Make sure you need both pumps on there like that. You know, just in case you need a spare pump to...throw at someone, or something like that.

The yellow one calls the silver one-MINI ME!

I'm thinking of getting a bigger, heftier pump that can double as a dog beater. Maybe a Taser for stupid dog owners hiking like they own the wilds.

They'll only be the rage until the rarer (for now) 18" catches on. You just wait, those little kids who aren't quite big enough for 20s know where it's at...all the pros of the 20", none of the drawbacks!

I think, if you don't like carrying any tire tools, you can use SLIME.

It really works...

Slime? What will they think of next?

Actually I had the car kit with the plug in pump until I let one of the daughter's boyfriends use it and then he backed over the pump. STUPID BOYS! I should send my daughters to a nunnery!
