Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I'm considering doing that for a trail bike as well. There are always 90s stumpjumpers on CL. Hows that singulator working for you?

Picked up some drops for the Leader for a good price. Not crazy about the ergo sections but I think I'm sold over bullhorns. Clipless and maybe a new seat soon in the future.

New build. Cinelli Gazzetta. Maybe switch over to some blacked out drop bars soon, and most definitely a new saddle.

Running a FSA Gimondi Crankset. Almost ordered an IRD Defiant but I got a heck of a deal on the FSA (like 1/2 the price!). Also, I couldn't find an IRD with 48t. I'm really happy with how it looks vs. the stock Andel.

Love the way it looks. I've only seen that crankset with the black chainring and this looks so much nicer.

New crankset, running a 49/17 and loving it. Also got a bottle holder so I could lose the backpack!

I might have already posted this pic, but I had not ridden her much through the winter. Got out for a ride today and had a great time. I have been riding my MTBs all winter, with all of those gears, dropper posts, etcetera and I had forgotten how much fun a single speed can be. Get on and pedal fast!

Yes, it is very evident in this picture. I'll have to adjust this tomorrow. Thank you!

NP - I had those same grips on some bullhorns on a previous bike. I loved the look and feel of them.

Yes! Those grips are so comfortable. The left hand side is starting to tear a bit, but I will likely get another set once these wear out

Some changes since the last photo: Changed my gear ratio to 50/13, changed the chain to wippermann z1 and installed mud guards (sks bluemels, from which I cut the last third of the rear mud guard because of missing mount on the frame).
Still to go: changing the hideous pedals and change to better tyres.
