Anchors Away! Ménage à trois
She's mobile! I'm adding two more chain guards after they have a chance to stretch...it runs a LOT better than my father and I had it running! The gearing is actually very nice for flat areas, but if you hit a hill, you're in trouble.
If any in the area want to go for a ride, let me know. I found two small dings I didn't remember, but neither looks deep and they aren't in areas where they should make much difference. Down the road, I'd like to add some racks for picnics and such. She's not pretty, but she sure is fun.

That's actually a really good idea, and one I hadn't thought of. We have a cargo trailer in the house...my wife had it before she met me and it's in a closet marked beware of the leopard. I'm pretty sure it works though. The only thing I can think of that would make that difficult is that it's not QR.

Do you know the front rack, maybe by Wald, that they used to put on the front wheel of a cruiser? One of those might be okay on this bike. Obviously you don't want much weight on it, but a picnic lunch should be okay.
PS, the word you are thinking of, in the title, is spelled "aweigh." Why, they don't tell you.

A front basket might be just the thing. You're right about the weight...the lighter this one is, the easier it is to control. It's a bit twitchy in the best circumstances.

Fantastic.
I'd put a nice Wald newspaper boy rack on the front, and I'd seek out CL for a one person Burley trailer.
Grocery store runs, day trips, and maybe even a stop at the liquor store. The list is infinite.
You would be traveling in "even more" style.

Yeah...the cockpit would definitely be snug for you. It rides so much better, and pedals so much easier, than I remembered it. It's amazing what grease, a clean chain and bearings can do!
I think nikkorod could squeeze in there...not sure how tall Fender is. I know Tom and his wife would fit. One thing that's going to be expensive is putting on three Brooks flyers...that will be a long term project.

Zaphod would fit. Maybe RobE. Brian/fender is my height i think? Maybe a little shorter. He seems taller because he's so skinny now.

That should be happening soon actually...I'm planning on riding it to the office some time soon, and getting a few people at workto ride it with me to Reading Terminal during lunch. I'm sure someone will snap a photo or two.
Pretty much everyone has an open invite to come ride this with me. Dan and Nikko - I'm talking to you in particular.

Curtis seemed interested in a tandem day as well...and I know Citoyen has some interesting stuff that's theme appropriate. I'd definitely be in. The one difficult part would be figuring out where to ride. I'd probably say the MUP along the river.

I started last week. Drop me a note when you want to go somewhere. I'm pretty flexible.

It would be a hoot to rig it to ride single from the middle position.
My friend's Schwinn Twinn could be ridden single from the stokers seat, but not in traffic.
